Good Friday

The kids are out of school today for Good Friday, so I thought it would be a great time to read the Easter story and have resurrection rolls for breakfast.

Ingredients:
1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
8 large marshmallows
Melted butter
Cinnamon Sugar

The crescent rolls represent the tomb, and the marshmallows represent the body of Christ. Have the kids rolls the marshmallow in butter and cinnamon sugar to symbolize the preparation of anointing Jesus's body with oil and spices for burial. Wrap the crescent roll around the marshmallow and seal well so that the marshmallow does not ooze out during baking. Bake according to package directions. The marshmallow melts during baking leaving the roll hollow which represents the resurrection of Jesus on Easter Sunday. I am so thankful to serve a God that is ALIVE!!!
