Ella had a blast celebrating 100 days of kindergarten yesterday! They had a party to celebrate, and the kids loved it! All of the kids brought in 6 cereal boxes for a total of 100 boxes. They lined them up in the hall and knocked them over like dominoes! I think I want to go back to kindergarten. They do such fun
activities with the kids.

Hugs to you & your kindergartener! Just last night Marjorie & Oliver were learning that we had to give up today's regularly scheduled programming at church to attend a b-day party for a family friend. It was really hitting Oliver hard. But as we tried to console him about having the trade-off, Marjorie remembered that when she was in kindergarten she missed her 100-day celebration b/c she went on an overnight trip to Indy with her daddy. I think that was a great getaway for the 2 of them. She got to swim in the hotel pool with him & made great strides so that she became really confident for future swimming. But it is surprising/instructional to this mommy that even with all of the good that our kids experience, they sometimes do not forget the special opportunities that they have at school -- or especially the special event that they may have to miss!
We've been enjoying reading all of the new books you gave us for Christmas! Big hugs to you!
