The kids had a snow day on Friday due to winter weather that was supposed to be headed our way that afternoon. Adam was working in Arkansas last week, and he was planning on staying the night there on Thursday so that he would be close to work on Friday morning. I am so thankful that he ended up not having to work on Friday because he said that he wouldn't have been able to come home until Monday or Tuesday if he would have stayed the night. We would have really missed him!! It was so nice to have him home for a long weekend! The winter weather was different this year because it was mostly ice packed on top of a couple of inches of snow. The kids had a blast outside, and Adam and I enjoyed staying warm while we watched them play. We had hot chocolate ready for them when they came inside! The kids have another snow day tomorrow, due to road conditions. A lot of the ice has melted, but there is definitely more that needs to melt. Hopefully that will happen tomorrow, and we'll be back to school on Tuesday!
