Our kids are at such a fun age right now because they just love to learn! We really enjoyed teaching them about President's Day today. Adam was home from work, so it was a real treat for us to have him home with us!! We talked to the kids about George Washington and the story about him chopping down the cherry tree. They colored a picture of him cutting down the tree, we read fun facts about George Washington, and we enjoyed some cherry pie after dinner! We also discussed our current president, and we prayed for him and our country at dinner. Ella's favorite fun fact about George Washington was that he only had one tooth at his inauguration. Ethan's favorite fact was that "George Washington didn't allow any potty-talk in the army." In other words, Washington did not allow swearing in the U.S. Army. :) It was a great day!
