My sweet friend Waverly made me this Jesse tree a few years ago. We use it during the month of December to prepare our hearts for Christmas. Each night we talk about the symbol for the day and read about what it means. It is a journey through the Old Testament ending with the birth of Jesus. It is awesome! For more info click on this link:In addition to the Jesse tree, we also read a chapter in a book by Ruth Bell Graham entitled One Wintry Night. This book also goes through the Old Testament and ends with the birth of Jesus and finally his death on the cross. It is a great companion to the Jesse tree. Again, this book was a gift from my friend Waverly. She is an amazing Mom with 5 little ones and a baby due in January! She has taught me so much! I'd love to hear about your family traditions.
