Mother's Day Weekend Recap

What a fun weekend! We met our friends , The Gora's, at Pannekoeken for brunch on Saturday to celebrate Mother's Day! It was so much fun! It was also nice to beat the Sunday lunch crowds, and Adam had to work on Sunday anyway. We decided to spend that afternoon walking around Quarry Hill (a local nature park), since the weather was so gorgeous. We didn't realize until we got there that it was family art day!! Hooray! It was so much fun to put together a pallet of paints and paint what we saw in the nature around us!

Adam was sweet to hold the paints for us. The boys didn't want to paint, but they enjoyed watching.
Our completed nature art!

The next art project was oil pastel rubbings. Ella made a peacock out of leaves and sticks!

Ethan is hard at work rubbing a leaf.

Faith's completed work of art! She was so excited to give all of her art work from today to Salma. She is the sweet lady who lives in our building and teaches the kids art :)

We didn't end up staying for the last art project because Adam had to work that evening. We were also getting hungry by then, so Adam took us to Pi Pizza--our favorite!

Above is my 2011 Mother's Day picture with my sweet kiddos! I like to have Adam take one each year so I can see how much the kids have grown since last year!!

Church was great on Sunday. Below is a picture of Faith, Ella, and Grace at church.

All of the kids made me sweet Mother's Day gifts !

Nicole came over Sunday afternoon with Riley, Grace, and Nolan while the babies were at home napping (Daddy was there of course!). She was so sweet to keep me company while Adam was at work. We just love every moment that we have with them!
