We had such a great "mini vacation" at the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells, WI. They have a huge indoor theme park and water park. It was great to feel like we had escaped to Africa when it was freezing and snowing outside!
The lobby of the resort had gorgeous stone carvings of African animals! The kids enjoyed warming up by the fireplace after an afternoon of playing at the water park.
Here are the kids sitting by a fireplace in our room getting ready to eat carmel apples and watch a movie--fun, yummy and cozy!
I just had to climb on the gorilla :) They had the coolest African art and sculptures throughout the hotel!
Adam won the jackpot of one of the games in the indoor theme park 2 days in a row! He won a ton of tickets! He is SO COOL!!!!
Ella was so excited to win the coloring contest at Camp Kalahari!! Here is Ella with her winning coloring page!! She won a free piece of pizza and a goodie bag.

Ethan at the water park! Adam loved the water slides so much that he went one night after the kids went to bed! He was totally in his element with the water slides and arcade games--including go-carts and laser tag :) We had such a great time! Oh, I can't forget to mention that my amazing husband surprised me with a one hour Swedish massage this morning---heavenly!

That trip was ONLY for the kids. What grown man would go ride waterslides for his own enjoyment after his children went to bed ? I was merely testing the more advanced slides to see if the kids would like them. It was quite a sacrifice!
